Nak Muay is a dedicated Muay Thai Academy in Central London. We offer group classes for beginners through to expert fighters as well as private lessons for students who prefer one-on-one training.
We organise unique trips to our partner training camp in Thailand where students have the opportunity to experience authentic Thai boxing training alongside some of the countries top fighters, all within the framework of an on-going training regime.
Kru Mariusz is the head trainer of the Nak Muay Academy.
Kru Mariusz has been training in martial arts since 1996. He studied traditional jiu jitsu and Oyama karate - a style created by Grand Master Shigeru Oyama - competing in more than 50 different tournaments between many different karate schools and styles.
Although happy with his training and achievements, he was ready for a new challenge when he discovered Muay Thai. He moved to London and there began to learn about the art’s beauty and power, taking part if in several seminars with Master Sken, who is regarded as one of the best instructors in the world.
Kru Mariusz then undertook training in Thailand, where Muay Thai was born. He visited renowned camps in Bangkok (Sor Vorapin); Koh Samui (WMC Camp) and Ubon Ratchathai (Legacy Gym) before discovering and forging a partnership with Keatkhamtorn Gym in Bangkok, home to Laemthong Thor Ponchai (S1 champion, Thailand top 10); Deatsuriya Sittiprasert (S1 champion); Yasothon Keatkhamtorn (WBC Muay Thai Champion); DaoTai (Lumpini International Boxing Champion) and Nopparat, one of Thailand's most famous and popular knee fighters (two-time Rajadamnern champion; Thailand champion and champion of the 2008 S1 tournament in Greece).
Kru Mariusz is the first non-Thai to have worked as a trainer to the fighters there, and has worked with Nopparat, Laemthong Thor Ponchai and Deatsuriya Sittiprasert. He now travels to Keatkhamtorn Gym regularly to keep on top of the latest techniques, developments, training methods and conditioning regimes. He has developed an exclusive relationship with the gym and organises trips for groups of students to travel for authentic Thai boxing training.
Kru Mariusz believes that Muay Thai is one of the most effective martial arts in the world.
Kru Mariusz is also a qualified boxing coach and offers boxing training alongside for students wishing to learn boxing as well as, or instead of Thai boxing. |
