Where to start?
The Sor.Vorapin camp is outside Bangkok. The only people you can meet in the neighbourhood are Thai people (there are no foreigners at all!). In order to get to the camp you need to actually walk for about five minutes through very narrow path that is above what I would say is a little lake (or rather mud). The camp is surrounded by many trees. It is quiet and peaceful.

There are three trainers in the camp. All of them have had about 150-200 fights and one about 80, (only 80 because this guy is so big, it is difficult to find for him an opponent, he is my size; 83 kg). There are two world boxing champions living in the camp as well. In the camp, there are mainly French people (they don't speak English, apart from one guy); two guys from Mexico, one from the USA and me. |
Every day in the camp looks the same.
You wake up at 6:20am, do a warm up; jogging for about 5-7km , then skipping for 10 minutes. Then you train with your trainer, usually two 5-minute rounds. Then you do 50 push kicks with each leg, 50 roundhouse kicks and 100 knees, but for now I can only do 50 push kicks and then I'm doing sit-ups and exercise with the weight that you hold in your mouth; trying to make my neck stronger.
After the training, you take a shower, eat breakfest and go to bed. Then you wake up about 2pm and the next training session starts at 3:30pm. There is no jogging, only skipping, stretching and three 5-minute rounds with your trainer. Then sparring or clinching, press-ups and sit-ups.
So, you just train and sleep.
