I have just finished my second training session for today and decided to write a couple of things that have happened.
 |
So, as I said before, we have three different coaches, two of them with about 200 fights and one with about 80. Personally, I enjoy training with Kai (the guy with 80 fights). He was champion of Thailand, but because he is too big for the Lumpini or Radajamnen stadiums, he had to fight outside of Bangkok. He is 30 years old and very fast and powerful. |
You can see that his technique is different, for example when using his knee, ("khao" in Thai) he doesn't pull his feet close to his bottom, but when he kicks or punches, you can see the difference in power between Europeans and Thai people...
I think they are much more powerful.
The other thing I wanted to say is that during your first month of training, you have many injuries, big and small. But the only thing you have to do is not think about injuries, and just train harder every day.
People need to get used to the heat and humidity. During your training, you are sweating so much that you have to drink a lot of cold water. There is always a bucket of cold water outside the ring. Usually, during my training, I drink between 2 and 2.5 litres of water.
