Dear Mariusz

Where to begin...... well so far I have been here at Keatkamtorn muay thai gym for about a week and 3 days. I arrived on Sunday the 24th at around 5 and met the manager Jakae and William Sandin at the airport. They invited me to a nice cafe, and after straight to the gym!

After maybe 20 minutes by car we finally arrived at Keatkhamtorn gym. I though the training area was very nice and had the right amount of space you need, and they had around 8 bags, 2 rings and many boxing equipment to use. I then had a look at the eating area and kitchen, which I thought looked pretty good for a muay thai camp. I then went upstairs to have a look at my room, which I was rally happy with, as they had A.C and private showers, plus outsdie the rooms there is computers with free internet, which I feel is very useful being so far away from home.

Anyway time to talk training!!!! I started on the monday the day after i came and the morning training session begins at about 6 with a long run, that usually takes 45- 50 mins, after you finish you do around 300 knees on the bag, but I could only do a bit more than half and unfortunately the skin on both my knee cut so i havent been able to train knees for a while now! anyway then you wrap your hands, the bell goes off and 2 rounds of shadow boxing. Once thats over comes the 4-5 rounds on the bags, where you practice all you know at a slow pace to begin, then you can heast things up as the rounds move on! after that (my personal favourite) the 3-5 rounds with the thai trainers on the pads! at first I could only do about 3 and now I have moves on to 4, which i'm happy with! there are 3 thai trainers called boo, kai and pung, but so far I have been training on the pads with one of the fighters (SON), and he's a very stong tactical fighter. This week I did a lot of boxing/ elbow techniques with him, and some kicks. I really enjoy training with him! The afternoon session is not that different except I take a different running route.

Next comes the Clinch/ sparring, which I have not done that much of, as I want to build my fitness more, yesterday i did it and the power I felt from some of the thai fighters is amazing, and it really motivates me to want to reach such a level! also the day before that I sparred with a 14 year old thai fighter, who had such strong solid technique, and I have to admit he could have reallly kicked my ass if he wanted to... haha!
Finally when thats over comes the push ups , sit ups and maybe weight training (if you have the energy!!) Then you go have a shower, and soon enough dinner time comes, where we all eat together and its a good time to get to know fellow students.

Overall I feel I am doing quite well for my first week or so and im trying hard to keep up with the sessions, but I have had to skip around 2 morning and 1 afternoon just from lack of physical energy, but I feel myself getting better the more I train, but I am starting to feel some more pains in my muscles all round, so I think I will go for a thai massage today see if that helps (:

Anyways I hope all is going well with you! I will take pictures soon and send them to you.

CYAAAAAA!!!
